Isn't that Chuck Norris on the top left corner?

This will never be duplicated.

The more I listen to this song, the more I get pissed that it didn't make #1 on the Billboard charts.

@FinalScoreProducts I think it's fairly well known, actually. Terry Comer, the bass player, had played for a couple of other bands without telling fellow Ace members - they weren't too pleased! But he did come back to record this track with them. Just as well, considering the hit that it became! Obviously, part of its appeal was its ability to be interpreted as a song about a cheating lover. The bass tone, harmonising vocals, guitar solo, keyboards, lead vocal etc all add to its brilliance!

You may not believe what this song REALLY means. Find out at the blog SongSense.info. Seriously, I'm not trying to sell anything.

Though I like the Rod's version, I'm liking it more and more from now on.

By the way, I had the pleasure of seeing him perform this with The Cowboy Outlet(w/ Nick Lowe, et. al). at City Gardens, 1985.

@fgldnglbs Wouldn't know how to copyright! Do enjoy warbling it around the fields, though; it scans correctly and everything!

I so love this song!! What feeling this song gives you!! The melody and lyrics are just so powerful!! This song just gets right at the heart of me!! What an amazing song from such an amazing era full of a kind of magic in the air that you just had to be there to feel and I was lucky enough to be there and it really shaped my life! I truly miss these days!! The best days of my life!! They are forever gone but I hold the memories tightly in my heart forever!! <3

@TheMusiclover1401 How long has this been going on? How long has this been going on? Well, your friends with the fancy persuasion, Don't admit that it's part of a scheme, But I can't help but have my suspicion coz I ain't quite as dumb as I seem, And you said you was never intending to break up our scene this way, But there ain't any use in pretending it could happen to us anyday, How long has this been going on? How long has this been going on?

@MaidofKent1965 Well, copyright the verse and come back here with it.

love this song but id like to read the lirycs as english is not my first lenguage

@workitjtworkit I agree! I'm sad enough to have composed a second verse whilst I was walking the dog around the fields! That padded it out a bit!

the only thing wrong with this song is that it's not 5 minutes long.

I just can't think of the music of this era as "old". Its still fresher and more relevant than the tiresomely, whiny, sleazy, world-weary crap that oozes from the record-company factories today.

Just love this song listened to it twice today, and yes very fond memories of the 70's,

@daguello P.S. If you want to see an authentic, "live", version, see the uploading by musicman70splus of the same song (I just clicked on the link to the right). Also fantastic, though less smooth; Paul C clearly sings live here! Enjoy!

@daguello hogansheroes58 admits this when he uploads the video; he says that it has been reworked, with new audio/lip sync and, somewhere or other, that it was a "hard one to do because Paul sang it differently on the video". If you watch closely, you'll see that the same few clips are replayed throughout the video. I don't think it detracts from the overall superb quality, nor the enjoyment that thousands of us have gained from it. Well spotted, though; doubt many people look that closely!

@joshXXwikerfresh Oi! To whom exactly are you referrring?!! I've made several comments; to which one are you alluding??!!

Lip synched! From 2:50 on,when he sings:"How long" His lips don't move in time to the words

@MaidofKent1965 gay!! no im kidding its just everyone wanted to say that...yeah i agree @_//J
