This is a great song.

a real COOL song.****

born in '73, & even i remember this was still gettin much play by my 5th & 6th bdays. :)

born in 66' raised on really great songs like this over little radios at the beach or at the barbque, sweet, good times. i miss being so young, a child, listening to heartfelt music without a care in the world ah bliss......

80% of the crap thats on our airwaves and on the net from the 2000s will not stand the test of time. Especially R & B and some of Rock....what a pity

@jephsteph Funny you should mention that. Look at the pop charts over the last 40 years or so and you'll be amazed at some great songs you'd swear must've been #1 hits that never got close to that level. For that matter, how about some that did make #1 that frankly haven't stood the test of time as well as some lesser rated songs of their sane era? I guess timing is everything..

@Ironcabbit Yeah Ibelieve the guitar solo comes one verse too soon.

converted this video to a ring-tone on tub e2tone{.)com

This song always felt one verse too short to me.

You are right. No can do. But Simply Red created the greatest video of all times with Sunrise!

@jephsteph Peaked at #3 in 1975 on the Billboard Hot 100

@Lolyf55 I'm shorry I'm shhpeshall. I dint understan ur messhage.

Paul cArrack was everywhere, Ace, Squeeze, Mie and the Mecahnic's etc!!!

@jephsteph Right On Dude , and some had retarded Kid's Like YOU!! , That make retarded remarks!!

Of course, Simply Red used Hall and Oates' "No Can Do" as the basis for that song (Sunrise)....

This song was never #1. People must have been retarded back then.

British soul.

Just added my 2010 remix of this song, In my mix I was wondering about how the bass sounds out at the beginning, but as the rest of the tracks come in , it all starts to sounds tight. The voice is what carries it though, how I haven't offended anyone with the mix.

I bought this on a 45 when I was in Germany. It fit right in with the letters I was getting from friends about a girl I was seeing. You grow up fast in the Army.

ace tune brings the mid 70's right back , sounds so perfect through my speakers

swimmin in the pool summer 1975- 8 Years old- BEAUTIFUL

you did good Hogan!

This is a friggin' great song.

u right i cant but at least im not actin like a bitch over the internet

This song reminds me of Simply red's song...SUNRISE by Simply red. Very similar refrain, even in the same tonality.
