@jak5000 It's a symbol of the boss guy's great 'burden' of keeping the world together when the whole planet is full of people who need to be controlled. Heavy is the head that wears the crown and all that crap.

@jak5000 and PhendraAnthroz Both correct. Atlas was charged by Zeus to carry the Earth as punishment for tyranny against the Olympian gods. The other Titans were punished differently and banished to elsewhere. So I assume Atlas holding the Earth could signify tyranny :)
