This is one of the most hilarious scenes in red dwarf ever. it's a bit racist, though - what the heck... watch lister's face when he's confronted with the "chronological truth". btw eating a cigarette requires total devotion to the moment -after all, it' s critical to say the least.

I adore the way he says 'Rumble'. But yes, one of the greatest moments.

In some of the outake DVD's you see him right after eating the cigarette. He wasn't ill, but he (craig charles) does look at the crew and says he wonders why he ate the cigarette (it was not scripted).
