Hey Scooby, i saw your video about the protein shake but i have no clue on what to do with those powders. When are you supposed to drink it? Before the workout, after the workout, at different times, at the same time, before going to bed? I dunno, im hoping to read one of your great advice about it, thank you.

My girlfriend wanted me to ask the following question: Can girls follow Scoobys guidelines for male bodybuilding? Will they gain muscle, or are they far more limited in terms of muscle gain?

Or, you can divide your workout to be cardio in the morning, weights in evening, or viceversa.

for pullups and pushups, get the "iron gym". it is really cheap and handy as for cardio, it doe'snt matter when you do your cardio, just DONT work out within 3 hours of bedtime, because that may give you trouble sleeping. I've experienced it many times. Also, you can switch from cardio to weights whenever, just don't make it so you're on weights, then a bit of cardio, then a bit of weights then a bit of cardio again. I would reccomend do weights then cardio and you're done.

Can chicken be used in place of salmon sometimes? That's pretty much all my email now (with slight edits). I just thought of something else, how about noodles? Can they be fit in as a meal? And to replace refried beans, will I just use kidney beans or something? Or can anyone suggest something better for it (Don't different beans have different properties?)? :)

Just a couple more bits. The low fat TV dinner to be used, should it have meat (as well as lots of vegetables) in it for protein? And I could eat the chilli heat up as a meal too, right? I want to say a big thanks for the videos, you have really inspired me to get back into working out and getting fit again so I'm going to start right back at beginner and work my way back to fitness and improve myself. Your videos are really informative and funny, I look forward to your future videos.

Or should I workout later in the day nearer dinner (or the protein shake)? Could I still do my morning jog? (I think I'll be only really able to do the workout at morning or evening) Also, how long should I do this regime before moving back onto weights and so on?

I was thinking about going for a jog every morning from now on to work on my cv and then doing my crunches, pushups and pullups (although I'll need to find somewhere to do this, don't have a bar anywhere around the house, might get a doorframe one for this) afterwards, so would you suggest to do this before or after breakfast?

How can I get a good tan during the winter to show off my muscles? I live in an apartment, so I can't just go out and lay naked in my backyard like I used to. There is the option of going to a tanning salon, but that's rather embarassing, because I am a guy lol. I want a good tan everywhere, with no tan lines around my butt or arms ^^ can you like buy blacklights that you can install in your room? Or should I go in the middle of nowhere and take off my clothes? LOL just curious plz suggest.

That depends- what exactly is the ratio of broccoli to carrots? Only joking- don't get so caught up in the details- veg is veg and beans are beans.

Erm, canned or dry ones, as I said above. Keep in mind that the meals Scooby posted are not a complete diet, but just general ideas, so don't make getting refried beans a matter of life and death. The basic guideline is: Choose food that is high in volume and low in energy while making sure your nutrition is balanced.

hey scooby, although i think i may have asked before, i'm an model/actor i'm going to go audition for agencies and clients heavily. i don't work so i have all day to work out. could you recommend a 2 week intense boot camp style work out? thanks, i'm your biggest fan.

The frozen vegetables I'm using right now are a mix of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and peas (I can tell you had something quite different), I have to add some water to them when I microwave them. Would you say these are fine? Can anyone suggest what I should use in place of refried beans? Be specific if you can. Scooby, if you can answer these, please let me know what you think. About 0% milk, by weight, skimmed milk is about 0.3% fat, so to the nearest 1%, it is 0% fat by weight. Just not by Calories, which is the relevant bit. You have to watch out for that on food labels, skimmed milk is still very low fat, but some things claiming to be, aren't.

Skimmed milk is 7.4% Calories from fat. I just posted the workings out but it didn't show, so here's the formula. There are 9 Cals per gram of fat. So percentage of Calories from fat= 100 x (fat grams x 9)/ Total Calories.

As for beans, there are usually plenty of different sorts available, it doesn't matter which you use. Refried beans may be with Tacos and mexican style foods like that, rather than with other beans. They are definately available in the England, so I would have thought they'd be in Scotland too.

The skimmed milk will be just fine. Remember: Your body needs SOME fat to function properly. If refried beans aren't available you can also use canned or dry ones.
